Forever New – Candy Crush

Forever New will be launching their new collection, Candy Crush, on the 17th of January 2013.

“In signature feminine style, the latest offering of sugary sweet colours and ornamental details comes in a candy floss palette of blush pink, mint green and powder blue, which colour up a range of luxurious fabrics to create this pretty collection.

Layers of lace, embroideries and embellishments are highlighted with sparkly metallic details and delicate beadwork which adorns collars and necklines. Indulge in girly prom dresses in gorgeous florals or sleek shift shapes in muted paisleys and soft botanicals with matching separates.

Charming accessories complete the sweet selection, featuring candy toned jewelled necklaces, statement chandelier earrings and opulent rose gold accents. Blush coloured heels are delicately frosted with diamantes and clutches encrusted with sparkles finish any outfit to perfection.”

Forever New – Ice Cream Parlour

If you know me, you’ll know I love Forever New. Before the arrival of Zara it was pretty much the only store that served up the latest trends for our current season instead of leaving us 6 months behind. While they are quite expensive when compared to other popular retail outlets, their quality of fabrics and production is really high, and these days that’s something you really can’t value too highly. Below is a selection of my favourite pieces from the new collection.

Ice cream Parlour, the new collection from Forever New, is a carnival of delight featuring geometric patterns, spots and lace in soft and pretty pastels. The collection is elegant and dreamy with textures of candy floss and a colour palette of rainbow ice cream. Sugary pinks, soft turquoise, mint, lemon and lilac are offset with splashes of vibrant neon hues in yellow, chartreuse and magenta. The collection consists of prom dresses and peplum shapes that are feminine and girly with a fresh update of new colours and prints.

Hard case clutches are in statement colours and heels come in an array of candy hues, with new wedge and strap shapes. Accessories are bold in vibrant neon’s and textured metals with torque necklaces that add an edge to the soft and pretty apparel. Treat yourself to this sweet and feminine collection; a pastel perfect introduction to spring.

Ice Cream Parlour is currently available in all Forever New stores.

Forever New! How I Hate Loving You!

I love Forever New! Their clothing is beautiful, well-made and always on trend. The only thing I don’t like are the prices. Paying over R1000 for a mass-produced dress seems a bit much for me. There is also nothing worse than breaking the bank for an outfit only to find someone is wearing exactly the same thing as you. Saying that though I was browsing their latest collection and I am in lust for the blue and white striped silk dress. As in I MUST have it! Therefore I will be heading to Gateway on Friday night to see if it is in stock.

That’s right folks, even sitting at home, I find ways to spend money. If I was an Eskimo and I met an ice salesman in the Arctic I’d probably buy a bag or two.
