The Berg And Back Again

We took a quick trip to the Berg today to cut some grass around some trees we planted the Christmas before last. I’m not gonna lie, it’s a long way to mow some Berg grass but those trees needed a cubic metre dug to plant them and we’re not up for doing that again.

These are just a few pics I took. Photos in order: field across the river, Roy mowing some grass, 3, 4 and 5 are of the Clayton’s property next door, 7, 8 and 9 were taken at Kate’s down the road, where we stopped for tea and scones.

Have a good week everyone.

I Heart Market – 4 June

Every first Saturday of the month we try to get to the I Heart Market for at least an hour or two. This month my mission was to buy myself something from Gen Motley and anything else that caught my eye.

Today’s market was so hectically busy that it was a bit difficult to move in the tent but we got around. The Twitter Blanket Drive was in full swing when we arrived and by the end of the morning they had collected 66 blankets, not to mention the rest they collected throughout the afternoon and evening. Congrats to Nicola and the rest of the team for such an awesome effort.

As it was so busy and I’m still learning how to use the camera, I didn’t get very many photos. Sorry for that, I shall try to do better next time. Top image is Bevan of {The Thrift Collection}. Bevan and Pippa source all sorts of 2nd hand clothing and goodies for you to buy at super affordable prices. Save up for next month. A R100 will get you quite a lot of stuff.

Bottom 3 are of Genevieve Motley’s jewellery collection. I got myself a sweet pair of fat little bird earrings, similar to the pendant in the first pic. Gen will be opening a shop within the Mooi Boutique (100 Bulwer Rd) on Friday, 10 June.

Weekend Wedding Wear

This last weekend we headed down the South Coast for a friend’s wedding.I had visions of a beautiful, warm Winter’s day but those were clearly pipe dreams because it was freezing. I had to keep my coat on the entire time and my legs were a nice shade of blue. As nobody down there really got to see my dress I thought I’d share it with you.

I’ve had the coat for the last year and a half and this is the first time I’ve worn it. Can’t think why I didn’t before!

Dress: Forever New
Coat: ASOS
Bracelets: Woolworths
