Deadliest Catch

I am completely and utterly in love with this ad. The imagery is ridiculously good. I have a huge thing for gritty black and white portraits and I’m rather partial to a bit of Johnny Cash. The song used in this ad is Ain’t No Grave and it’s one of my favourites.

This next video comes in a close second. Yet again the close ups and the depth of field gets my little heart pitter pattering. Song is Rise by Eddie Vedder.

Tokyo-Go-Go Prints

A couple of weeks ago Greg Darroll aka Tokyo-Go-Go had an exhibition at Mooki Noodle. As we were looking for some new art we went along to check it out. The exhibition consisted of loads of square block-mounted character prints. Needless to say I wanted one and my other half wanted another but as anyone knows two of something never looks right so we bought three.

I Heart Market – October Photos

The I Heart Market last Saturday was fantastic. The new tent is amazing and there is so much space. If the wind hadn’t been blowing a gale the day would have been perfect. I tried to test out my new lens but no word of a lie, everytime I pretty much had a shot my entire camera was nearly blasted out of my hands.

On another note I believe the market now has a credit card machine.  Dangerous if you’re me but a really much needed addition to the whole experience. Nothing worse than seeing something you really want and only having R50 in your purse.
The food section also appears to have grown. Next time I will arrive hungry and try everything.

My ‘New’ Bag

How awesome is this bag? When Natalie from Minnie & Lulu said she would be getting some seriously vintage goodiess from a little old lady in Durban I was really rather excited. Last night she posted some pics of some of the bags and when I saw this gorgeous Dooney & Bourke Saddle Bag I had to contact Nat immediately and stake my claim.

What’s so amazing about this is that it was so well looked after. It’s never been used and still has the original guarantee card in an inside pocket. What’s more it came in it’s original bag to keep the dust off.

There will be more items popping up here and there and M&L still have a load of bags left. See their facebook page for the latest updates.
