Following on from yesterdays vintage Summery goodness here are some pics by Jeff Divine.
As one of the first photographers to document the rise of surfing on the North Shore in the 70s and 80s, he’s a true pioneer of surf photography. Each of his images is a small glimpse into what life was like as a Surfer when the sport truly started to evolve. While the Vietnam War was coming to an end, the hippies were all partied out and Jim Jones was preaching to his followers in Guyana, small groups of Surfers were pushing themselves and their boards as far as they possibly could.
Below are just a few of my favourite images. If you’d like to see more then definitely check out Jeff Divine’s website.
